Finding Our Place- Commemorative Book Illustrations
A recent illustration commission for the Benevolent Society was an opportunity for me to create a trailer for the 200 year centenary book 'Finding Our Place'. My method is to draw freehand, without prep-sketches or tracing, interpretations of various photographic compositions I had researched and constructed. Filming this entire process I would speed up the resultant footage in FCP and edit it with my own voice over, with finalised artwork for the book and music by Steve Smith of Birdinhandlane.
